Industrial sources informed that till ending of August this year, Vietnam exported $3.86 million set of labor protective clothes, generated total $20.75 million, registering year–on–year increase of 167 percent and 125.9 percent in terms of volume and value respectively, compared to same period 2005.
During the first eight months 2006, labor protective clothes have been one of the strongest growing goods categories in both value and volume.
Since beginning of September this year, exports of local textile and apparel goods declined – slowing at most markets, as exports turnover of whole goods dropped 22 percent in comparison with previous month, totaling to $491 million.
