The production of China's scaled enterprises in January -September registered as follows: yarn at 12.4339 million tons, cloth at 31.929 billion meters, chemical fiber at 14.6432 million tons, up 21.60 percent, 16.15 percent, 13.16 percent, respectively, from the same period in 2005, but compared with the high growth rate in previous years, the growth slowed down in key commodities.
Compared to the same period last year, from January to September, the gain of fiber output only rose 1.37 percent, while yarn and cloth production indicated 1.92 percent and 2.17 percent lower, respectively.
This shows that basic commodities and intermediate goods of textile industry are facing growing pressure from resources; meanwhile, it also shows that the development of textile industry from January-September was more relied on restructuring and improving added value to products.
