America Imports Association (AIA) currently forecast that Vietnam's goods exports turnover to the US in 2006 would reach roundly $9 billion in 2006, posted year–on–year surging of 36 percent, official sources said.

According to Phillip W. Byrd, Chairman of AIA, such above sharp growth was largely thank to the US's increasing favor on Made–in–Vietnam goods as well as better marketing programs carried out by Vietnamese enterprises in current times.

So far 2006, almost key goods exporting to US from Vietnam gained strong growth, including furniture, leather goods, fabric and fibre, textile and apparel, foodstuff etc. Byrd added.

Result of a recent survey lead by AIA at 1,000 American importers showed that 79 percent of these interviewed enterprises presented their satisfaction to Vietnamese goods and expected to keep contracts with Vietnamese partners in the coming times.
