An increase of 30 percent compared to 2004 in the sale of real fur in Britain has been recorded by reaching $969 million for the first time in history.

Although fashion industry has claims of not using real fur, it is hardly matching with reality.

People assume that furs they use are phony but most of them are real, a leading fashion designer said.

Every year 1 million tons of real furs are imported into Britain. Government is trying to stop import of fur by banning seal skin. Worldwide sales of real fur reached nearly $13.5 billion.
