Recently, the joint study team from Hengyuanxiang Group and Donghua University announced in Chengdu a human body database version for the men living in southwest China. The study shows that in Chengdu the overweight male ratio is 3.63 times that of Chongqing.

This survey proved that the number of obese men has increased significantly. Therefore experts proposed that garment types should be extended from the original four categories to five categories.

Experts believe that the suggestion of having clothing types increased to five categories will be the first achievement after the creation of human body database.

Now experts mull to develop individual intellectualized clothing cards depending on human body database. By then citizens can take their own body data IC cards to go shopping, they can get the recommendation for most suitable clothes when they brush their IC cards in a store.
