Government issued warning to marketplaces that they have to face consequences if they fail to follow the decision of clear discount taken in the meeting with 47 department stores of Beijing.
So these marketplaces have decided to exclude sales promotion coupon during Chinese New Year.
Now marketplaces are offering direct discount instead of sales-promotion coupons. This has led to decrease in the profit of marketplaces considerably.
Although marketplaces are offering 50 percent and up to 70 percent discount on commodities, prices of all the goods are almost similar.
