Hong Kong SuperTimesHolding Company and Uzbekistan Light Industrial Joint-stock Company recently has established a joint venture SuperTimes Company. The authorized capital of the company is US $18.3 million, with an annual production plan of 4,000 tons cotton yarn.
It is expected to start production of cotton cloth and clothing in the second half of this year, when installation of production lines is completed.
At present, Uzbekistan textile industry vigorously attracts foreign investment. In 2007, Uzbekistan textile industry plans to introduce 19 projects with foreign direct investment, worth $93.2 million.
