Exchange registers 34 contracts worth over US $45mn

Turkmen state commodity and raw materials exchange registered 34 contracts last week, with total cost of foreign currency ones surpassing US $45.728 million. Lint, cotton and washed Karakul wool of various sorts were bought by traders from China, Switzerland, UK, Russia, Seychelles, BVI and Kyrgyzstan.

Knitwear, cotton yarn and grey fabric was purchased by merchants from US, Ukraine, India, Turkey, Pakistan, Switzerland, BVI and Gibraltar, with national currency on deposits crossing Manat16.232 billion. Businessmen of Turkmenistan bought many types of lint-cotton.

BVI traders used foreign currency to buy hydro-purified diesel sourced from Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, businessmen from Afghanistan purchased diesel L-0, 5-62 from Seyydi oil refinery, whereas Iranian merchants bought liquefied gas from Nayyp field.
