Fuzhou city's dyeing and garment production base, which provides strong support to cotton spinning, warp knitting and other industries, has reached advance level in production of high-grade fabric.
Fuzhou city, one of the three garment industry bases in Fujian province, has more than 400 apparel enterprises.
Most of the enterprises in the production base have their own clothing brand. Earlier, many enterprises were mainly concentrated in exports, but now they are also trying to capture potential domestic clothing market.
Some of enterprises have also given importance to improvement of production quality by introducing advance technology like CAD, CAM and latest sewing equipment and they have also received ISO 9000 quality certification.
As per estimates, Fuzhou City produces more than 20 million pieces of garments per year, generating revenue of 8 billion Yuan.
