Exchange witnesses high demand for textiles

Turkmen State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange registered contracts with total cost in foreign currency crossing US $10 million during last week. There was heavy demand for textiles and agricultural products.

Washed Karakul wool and driving belt of woolen cloth was bought by Russian traders, many types of lint cotton was purchased by merchants from UK, Singapore and Switzerland.

BVI businessmen bought oil coke sourced from Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries along with cotton lint. Furniture cotton-wool was bought by traders from UAE.

Cotton yarn, lint cotton, house cotton, grey fabric and knitwear production waste was purchased by businessmen from US, Russia, Turkey, Switzerland, Pakistan, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, India and Cyprus, with national currency on deposits being over Manat24.429 billion.

Cotton yarn was bought by local traders for their domestic needs at total price of Manat8.337 billion.
