Due to growth in production and exports, Hung Vuong Garment Company achieved turnover of VND18 billion ($1.12 million) last year. This was 109 percent higher than the target set for 2006 and 5 percent up from the previous year's figure.
According to Deputy Director Quang Huy, company improved its production technology, product quality, exports market and labour force during last year. Consequently, it received large number of orders from both local partners and importers.
Phu Tho province based Hung Vuong is just a small Vietnamese enterprise dealing in textiles and garments. Company has signed a contract for exports that will last till the second quarter of this year.
Quang Huy added that Hung Vuong has set a production target of 7,60,000 items in different categories for export, to attain a turnover of about VND20 billion ($1.25 million).
