According to Provincial Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Department statistics, performance of Fujian textile and garment exports in the first quarter was outstanding.
During the period, textile and garment exports reached US $1.329 billion, an increase of 24.55 percent.
Textile exports earned $321 million, a growth of 25.2 percent, 6.4 percent higher than the provincial average and 15.4 percent above the national average level.
Garment exports amounted to $1.008 billion, up 24.23 percent, 5.6 percent higher than the provincial average and 6.6 percent more than the national average level.
