In a significant shift in trend, yellowish-white wedding dresses have caught the fancy of to-be brides who are replacing the traditional all-white bridal dress with it.

Hence, all small or large wedding finery shops in Shanghai — a city that records huge sales of wedding products — have stacked the yellowish-white bridal wear. According to statistics, a newly-wed couple spends around 180,000 yuan.

Going by the popularity of the new colour in wedding dresses, insiders have predicted that this year, sale of yellowish-white dresses will occupy 90 percent of the market share.
