The clothing industry of Shishi city faced the worst effects of warm winter in 2006. Huge quantity of unsold winter clothing remained piled up in the warehouses of factories and shops. Now, clothing enterprises fear the reappearance of warm winter this year.

Experts believe that global warming and seasonal changes will have an effect on the consumption pattern of customers.

Chairman of Shishi Clothing Association said that local clothing enterprises are now paying more attention to weather cycles. The local observatory is planning to set up a 'weather alarm system' to serve the local clothing enterprises and help them reduce their losses resulting from fickle weather.

However, big enterprises did not feel the heat of warm winter for few reasons. Firstly, their sale does not depend on local markets as they export. Secondly, they enjoy big sale channels and finally discounts of these companies are a huge attraction for consumers.
