The Emerging workshop on "Specialty Fibers and Yarns" in KCT TIFAC CORE will be held on 7th September, 2007 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at C Block Seminar Hall.
Development of new polymers has led to the production of new fibers / fabrics with engineered structural aspects to enhance aesthetic, comfort and durability of fabrics.
In today's world, this development effort may be recorded with a foothold market position if a fiber or fiber variant successfully out performs an existing material.
Hence, this workshop has been designed to help engineers / technologies in understanding the developments and processes involved in production of speciality fibres and yarns.
The globalization of the textile industry has had a variety of effects and one such effect is the race to produce textile and apparel product with multi – functional property at lowest cost possible.
As the 21st Century progresses, fibers enter into more novel and varied technical applications, such as the development of smart fibers and speciality yarns, this workshop will be immense use to the yarn and fabric manufactures.
