Current prevailing price of semi-dull polyester chip stands firmly at around 10,700 yuan per ton for delivery within three months, but actual trade price is slightly lower, especially since market sentiment is thin and inquiries are less.
Spinning enterprises from downstream sections have adopted a 'wait and see' attitude and mostly operate on 'hand to mouth' strategy. There is a gap between actual trade and factory offers since the sales are still sluggish.
Price of big polyester chip (bright and filament grade) remains stable at 10,750 yuan per ton. Cationic slice price is steady and no less than 11,100 yuan per ton. Price offered by some Zhejiang polyester factories is at 11,150 yuan per ton (Acceptance within three months). Bottle slice market price picks up recently to 114,500 yuan per ton.
However spinning enterprises hold large raw material stock, therefore, encouraging sales are deficient in market.
