On May 14, market prices of PTA, MEG remained firm. Domestic PTA was offered at 8100-8150 Yuan per ton, imported PTA was quoted at 8,080 Yuan per ton.
Semi-dull and bright polyester chips moved sideways, but ones with low prices disappeared from the market; CDP chips, PET bottle slice looked temporarily stable. In East China, semi-dull chips stabilized, manufacturers offered price at 10450-10500 Yuan per ton (for three months acceptance), mainstream price ranged in 10300-10500 Yuan per ton (cash acceptance). Impacted by price increase from upper reaches, individual manufacturers increased their price by 100 Yuan per ton.
Prices of Acrylic Staple 1.5 D × 38mm, acrylic top 3D × 102mm were in consolidation; CPL price was adjusted, nylon 6 chips fell slightly.
In Europe, the United States and Asia, ethylene glycol markets closed in mix, CFR China main port stood at US $1077-1080 per ton, up $3-5 per ton; CFR Southeast Asia was at $1075-1080 per ton, down $5 per ton; FOB US port was at $1135-1146 per ton, unchanged from the previous day; FOB Northwest Europe was at US $1181-1082, unchanged.

In East China mainstream price of PSF market was in stability, most factory Prices were flat, individual prices were lower, mainstream ex-factory prices were in 10700-10800 Yuan per ton, overall production and sales indicated 70 percent, inventories remained on high level. Mainstream trading price was in 10800-10900 Yuan per ton (cash payment) for delivery to buyer.
