Ethylene prices start climbing back

Since the prices of crude oil, started its downward spiral, the impact on petrochemical producers has been very terrible. Petrochemical prices also went on a free fall to touch lows and coupled with that was the fall in demand due to the slow down, which led to the petrochemical plants pruning their capacity or completely closing it down.

But, now since the last few days due to a drop in supply from all those plants that had shut down, prices have slowly started climbing once more.

Ethylene prices in Asia region:
Ethylene, CFR Northeast Asia, at US $655-665 per metric ton.
Ethylene, CFR Southeast Asia, at US $605-615 per metric ton.

Ethylene prices in Far East region:
Ethylene, FOB South Korea, at US $595 per metric ton.
Ethylene, FOB Japan, at US $595 per metric ton.

Ethylene prices in Europe:
Ethylene, FD Northwest Europe, at Euro 455.0-460.0 per metric ton.
Ethylene, CIF Northwest Europe, at US $565.0-575.0 per metric ton.
