Asian pure benzene prices rebounded on Wednesday, driven by the strength of crude oil and naphtha. In the Asian market, benzene offers for May shipment stood between US $385-420 per ton (FOB) and April shipments were quoted between $390- 430 per ton.
In the afternoon, offers for April shipment declined to $407 per ton, but May shipment stood their ground at the same price. In a transaction, reportedly done on Wednesday, SABIC sold pure benzene to Mitsui at $ 400 per ton for April deliveries.
