With functional textile products receiving wider acceptance from consumers, products with more and more uses other than conventional are being launched by different companies.
Jian Yue Industrial in Taiwan recently announced application of fluorescent technology in textiles. This technology other than acting as a UV protector also converts sunlight into spectrum which is useful to human body.
The application of fluorescence technique helps in converting ultraviolet radiation into a useful factor, which can help improve skin tones with cosmetic effects and also slow down the problem of hair fall.
The technology has been adapted from patent of SunSoul in Canada. Jian Yue has signed a cooperation agreement with SunSoul and after three years of research and development, the company has successfully applied the technology to textiles.
After obtaining the licensing patent of the fluorescent technology, the company will mainly develop leisure and sports clothing and other textiles and also plans to expand markets in China.
