Ethylene prices for CFR Northeast Asia rose smartly from last Wednesday's level of US $865-867 per metric ton to $891-893 per metric ton and ethylene prices for CFR Southeast also followed suit in growing from $841-843 per metric ton to $881-883 per metric ton on June 24.
Ethylene prices in the FD Northwest European markets too shot up from €605-610 per metric ton to €670-675 per metric ton up by more than 10 percent, yesterday. However, ethylene prices for CIF Northwest Europe stayed stable at last weeks levels of $720-730 per metric ton.
Prices of ethylene in the US market of Houston which had marched in the northwards direction for the last 2-3 fortnights, fell back from US cent 26.750-27.000 per pound to US cent 25.000-25.250 per pound.
