One of the largest garment manufacturing employers, the L&T group has agreed to pay $1.7 million to settle law suits filed by the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

EEOC has charged the group with retaliation and discrimination based on national origin, sex and age, which all are in violation of the federal law of the United States.

This decree from the court brings to an end the four discrimination law suits filed by EEOC three year back against a few group companies of the L&T Group.
