The government will soon open the first and a large scale 'Textile & Garment Trading Complex', which aims to offer myriad of consumer items to the public, at concessionary rates.

The complex will be attached to the Dedicated Economic Center in Narahenpita and would provide marketing facilities to local textile and garment manufacturers, importers and suppliers of gift articles manufactured across the country.

It will also prove to be an opportunity for the textile and garment traders of the country to display and market their products; on the other hand it would also fulfill the textile and garment related requirements of consumers at cheaper rates.

This trading complex comprises 100 trade stalls and has been constructed using modern technology by the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB) to facilitate both, traders and consumers.

Construction of the second textile and garment trading complex attached to the Ratmalana Dedicated Centre is also in progress, and it is too being constructed by the CECB.
