Descente Ltd, the Japan based performance swimwear manufacturer launched its new line of swimwear designed for the 2010 world championships that meet the tough new rules announced by swimming's governing body.

Called 'Aquaforce 1', the swim suits reduce drag in the water and create strong forward momentum by stabilizing the bone structure, which is expected to provide maximum support to swimmers according to the company.

Speaking about the new product offering with Fibre2fashion, Toshi Kosegi, official spokesman of Descente said, the swimsuits were best suited for swimmers as it supports them the maximum speed since it is light in weight.

Explaining the functionalities of the swimsuit he said, “Descente focused the postural alignment and placed "V shape tape" at the hip area which ensures stability around the hip region and allows swimmers to kick effectively and maintain their ideal posture.”

“The material used is called "Aquaforce Film," which is thin and light as a film and even though the thickness of the fabric is only 0.3 mm, it achieves high compression for better performance, by compressing the body volume effectively for less water resistance”, he concluded by saying.
