Bangladesh foreign minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud proposed the establishment of a ‘joint business taskforce,’ facilitated by the primary business entities of Bangladesh and Gambia, aimed at bolstering trade collaboration between the two countries.

This proposition was put forth during recent bilateral discussions with Gambian counterpart Dr. Mamadou Tangara on the sidelines of the OIC’s 15th Summit Preparatory Foreign Ministers’ Meeting held in Banjul, Gambia.

In the meeting, Dr. Tangara commended Bangladesh’s notable achievements especially in the agricultural domain and conveyed his eagerness to broaden trade cooperation between their countries.

Dr. Hasan also expressed contentment with the amicable bilateral relations and suggested the potential recruitment of Bangladeshi manpower by Gambia.
