Economic growth is expected to boost Cambodia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to approximately 209,163 billion riels (~$51.39 billion), with GDP per capita projected to increase to $2,924, up from around $2,713 in 2024, said the report released by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The industrial sector is forecast to expand by 8.6 per cent, driven by robust growth in both garment and non-garment manufacturing. Garment manufacturing will be bolstered by global demand and the ‘Cambodia Footwear and Bag Development Strategy 2022-2027,’ while non-garment manufacturing will gain from rising exports and government initiatives supporting SMEs.
The warehousing and transport sectors are expected to grow, supported by infrastructure enhancements outlined in the Inter-Transport and Logistics Master Plan 2023–2033, Cambodian media reports said citing the ministry’s report.
Meanwhile, World Bank’s ‘Cambodia Economic Update: From Recovery to Resilience – Harnessing Tourism and Trade as Drivers of Growth’ released earlier this month forecasts the country’s GDP growth to rise at 5.5 per cent in both 2025 and 2026.
