China to continue with policies to boost economic recovery, growth

A recent State Council executive meeting chaired by Premier Li Keqiang decided that China will continue to implement the policy package for stabilising the economy and the follow-up initiatives to further promote economic recovery and growth. The meeting called for efforts to fully study and implement the guidelines laid out at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

To cope with shocks from factors that were higher than expected, a policy package for stabilising the economy and follow-up policies were introduced in April this year.

The economic slide in early second quarter was reversed in time and the economy is stabilising and picking up, state media reported.

Efforts will be made to ensure stable energy supply and keep transportation and logistics services open and smooth.

“Mature projects should be taken forward without delay, and the approval procedures for projects that can get started within the year should be simplified wherever possible," Premier Li said.

Private investment will be supported to participate in key projects.
