The consumer confidence indicator reached an all-time high (36) in January 2000 while the all-time low (minus 59) was reached in September and October 2022.
In December 2022, the volume of investments in tangible fixed assets was down by 1.9 per cent YoY.
Consumers are less pessimistic about the economy in February than they were in January. This component indicator stands at minus 54, up from minus 62 in January. Consumers are mainly less pessimistic about the economy in the next twelve months.
Dutch consumers’ willingness to buy stands at minus 37 in February, up from minus 41 in January. They are mainly less pessimistic about their financial situation in the next twelve months. They are also less negative about making large purchases in February than they were in January.
