EU nations, HCM City agree to further promote economic cooperation

Leaders of Ho Chi Minh City’s People’s Committee and ambassadors of the European Union (EU) member nations to Vietnam recently met and agreed to continue to study and effectively implement cooperation in economy, commerce and investment.

The People’s Committee of the city hopes to strengthen cooperation with European partners in green transition, digital transformation, climate change adaptation, innovation and start-ups, a news agency reported.

Vice chairman of the committee Vo Van Hoan promised to do his best to ensure a stable socio-political environment, ensure legitimate rights and interests of investors, and create favourable conditions for foreign businesses to operate in a stable and effective manner.

The EU member states appreciated the city’s economic potential.
