Foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows into Turkiye were worth $1.5 billion in the first quarter (Q1) this year, according to the International Investors Association (YASED).

Equity capital inflows totalled $1.2 billion in the quarter, the association said citing data from the Turkish central bank.

The country received $796 million through real estate investments from abroad, a domestic news agency reported.

The highest source of FDI inflows was the Netherlands, accounting for a quarter of the total, followed by the United States (21 per cent) and Germany (12 per cent) over the three-month period.
