Drafted by the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) on behalf of the department of industries and commerce (DI&C), the policy calls for targeted strategies and initiatives and a district-oriented approach to help exporters tap the wide range of quality goods and services from the state.

The focus sectors identified by the draft policy include textiles and garments engineering goods, petrochemical products, organic and inorganic chemicals, according to media reports from the state.
