The agreement also maintains an annual increase of JD5 for workers, labour mnister Khaled Bakkar said.
Nearly 24,000 employed Jordanians will benefit from the agreement, which includes provisions for medical care via factory clinics, transportation allowances, and meal benefits offered by some employers, he said.
Transportation allowances for employees in firms that do not offer transportation will rise to JD25 per month, a domestic news agency reported.
These advantages will also apply to non-Jordanian workers in the sector.
