Monthly UK real gross domestic product (GDP) is estimated to have grown by 0.1 per cent in November last year, largely because of a growth in services, following an unrevised fall of 0.1 per cent in October, according to the Office of National Statistics (ONS).

Real GDP is estimated to have shown no growth in the three months to November 2024 compared with the three months to August.

UK production output fell by 0.4 per cent in November 2024 following an unrevised fall of 0.6 per cent in October. Three of the four sectors in production output saw a fall in the month, with the largest negative contribution coming from a 0.3-per cent drop in manufacturing.

Production fell by 0.7 per cent quarter on quarter (QoQ) in the three months to November, driven by a 1-per cent decline in manufacturing, an ONS release said.

Construction output grew by 0.4 per cent in November last year following a fall of 0.3 per cent in October. Construction also grew by 0.2 per cent in the three months to November 2024.
