Chinese Ministry of Commerce has decided to impose anti-dumping duty on the imports of dimethyl cyclosiloxane chemical from Japan, the United States, Britain and Germany.
The duty would be imposed on the import of this chemical used in manufacturing silicon polymer.
The final decision declares that importers of this chemical should pay duty in next five years with rates between 13 and 22 percent.
Ministry blames above four countries of unjust selling of dimethyl cyclosiloxane chemical to the Chinese market.
The chemical is extensively used in the industries of construction, electron, textile, automobile, food and machine and ministry came to know about this when it launched a primary investigation against the use of this chemical on July 16, 2004.
After this, the ministry took temporary anti-dumping measures on this chemical on September 29, 2005.
