The Economic Development and Trade Ministry is mulling over five percent import duty-cut on leather products.
This was revealed in a plan of actions, which is to be undertaken during expansion of light industry that was duly approved by the government on December 17, 2004.
Meanwhile, the ministry has sought opinions/observations from industry representatives and concerned agencies on the above plan till February 20, 2006.
