Federal Textile Board will meet and set future course of action for textile sector and form textile policy, in light of challenges posed by post-quota regime and increased competition, an official informed.
The meeting will be presided over by Federal Minister for Textile Industry, Mushtaq Ali Cheema, with entrepreneurs from textile sector and officials of government departments attending the meeting.
The meeting will take up for discussions the findings of a study report of Bangladesh's bedlinen sector compiled by a delegation which visited Bangladesh recently.
Pakistan textile sector's competitiveness and facilities available to it in the countries of region, would also be reviewed at the meeting.
Strategy to increase export market share of knitwear and clothing sector in near future will be taken up for discussion.
Appointing various textile sector experts in Federal Textile Board will also be looked into.
