Pakistan wants to strengthen its trade and economic relations with China, and for this the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) is to open its first liaison office in China, said Chaudhry Muhammad Saeed, President FPCCI.
Addressing a meeting of board of directors of Pakistan-China Business Council (PCBC) meeting, Saeed said that to finalize the arrangements, Mazher Ali Nasir, Chairman PCBC would visit China and meet the Consul General of Pakistan in Shanghai and Chairman of CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade).
The function of this office would be to help businessmen of two countries in setting up joint ventures, conducting research on Chinese market, regularly organizing meetings between trade groups from both countries.
The office would also help Pakistani businessmen to take part in trade exhibitions in China and provide information to Chinese enterprises about business opportunities in Pakistan.
