Amidst the strong opposition from Congress party deriding Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Budget session of Gujarat assembly began on Thursday.
Before the assembly began, Congress leader Arjun Modhvadia led a rally showing placards with a verbal assault launched against Modi by challenging his claims as false.
The session began with an address by Governor Nawal Kishore Sharma.
Modi is to present the 2006-07 Budget on Friday with six bills including the much-talked Value Added Tax (VAT).
