Haryana Govt. plans drastic steps to develop textile sector

Haryana government is taking major steps to promote textile sector in Panipat.
The Union Government has granted Rs20 crore to textile industry as state government also plans to set up an advanced petro-chemical hub at Panipat.
Union Commerce Ministry has also accepted the proposal to establish a Rs54.33 crore textile cluster, for the development of infrastructure in Panipat.
Indian Oil Corporation was planning two projects here, making use of the feedstock from its plants while doubling production capacity of its refinery from six million metric tons to 12 million metric tons.
The proposed 'Industrial Park' required an investment of around Rs25000-30000 crore and is expected to generate employment for over 50000 workers.
