About 150 textile workers assembled outside the offices of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to voice their displeasure against lay-offs and dismissal of workers in the state-owned industries, local news agencies reported.
The workers of Kermanshah's Nasaji Qarb textile factory were complaining that after long years of labour in this textile factory, they were fired just ahead of the Persian New Year.
The workers in Iran are facing greater state of financial instability.
The closure of factory will result in rise of unemployment, prostitution, and poverty, a protestor voiced his concern.
