Textile output of Zhejiang province showed a significant increase of 51.9 percent on year-on-year basis from January to February, 2006.

This region's textile industry is currently under anti-dumping scrutiny, is witnessing depressed market situation, despite exports of mostly mid-end and low-end products with prices dominating the marketing strategy.

Despite having over 7000 textile manufacturers, Zhejiang lacks recognized international brands.

Meanwhile it is learnt that the local government is instituting pre-warning system for textile centric products in order to avoid future anti-dumping investigations.
