More textile units added in sales tax zero-rating list

The Central Board Revenue (CBR) proclaimed the sales tax zero-rating facility for 199 export related industries that come under the Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) jurisdiction.
The notice circulated explained that 199 registered producers will be added to SRO 927(I)/2005 dated 10-09-2005 regarding KESC to ensure zero-rating on the buying of electric power for manufacturing products solely included in the zero-rated vide SRO 621(I)/2005 dated 17-06-2005.
This is another attempt of the CBR to assist the chief exporting units of the country by zero-rating the main inputs used in the production of goods for export.
