This amount, the trainees will use as their working capital so that they can value add to cocoons grown by them, Kumar added.
Jharkhand State presently produces around 100 metric tons of cocoon at an total annual transaction worth Rs 100 crore.
Cocoon growers will get twice this amount after finishing the course, the Director said.
State's future plan is to impart training to prepare silk garments and clothes to satisfy domestic as well as international demands in markets, he said.
