Textile sector calls for Romanian investors

Mushtaq Ali Cheema, Federal Minister for Textile Industry, Pakistan, called for investors from Romania to fund joint ventures, explaining that the Pakistan had great potential in the form of raw materials, skilled labour as well as infrastructure.

Textile city that is being set up in Karachi and the garment cities in Karachi, Lahore and Faisalabad will help boost country's textile industry even further, and the time was very profitable for overseas investors.

Grigore Craciunesch, President, Pak-Romania Parliamentary Friendship Group, met with Federal Minister for Textile Industry, Mushtaq Ali Cheema in Islamabad, on 5 April 2006.
