Philippines & Egypt enter into trade agreement

To boost business relation, Philippines and Egypt entered into trade agreement, said Department of Foreign Affairs, Egypt.

During the 4th RP-Egypt Bilateral Consultation in Manila, DFA undersecretary for policy Erlinda Basilio and Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister Ali Hassan exchanged the instruments of ratification.

This trade pact between the two countries covers cooperation on a wide range of economic and business programs, information exchange, participation in each other's fairs and exhibitions, to take advantage of Egypt's industrial zones and to develop Philippines textile sector.

Egypt is agriculturally dominated country having partners like the US, UK and Italy with crops like cotton, rice, corn, textiles etc.

Both countries have decided the area of cooperation and agreed to finalize pending agreements.
