Textile consumption in China is increasing in recent years, however, Chinese Government is worried about the average of consumption per head as every Chinese uses just 5.5 kilograms of textile a year.

This shows tremendous opportunity for growth of textile industry within the country.

To encourage people to buy more textiles, Government aims to build prosperous society by doubling the GDP.

As the lifestyle of people improves, textile consumption will automatically increase by 2010, sources said.
