Government has decided to eliminate import duty of five percent on essential inputs for textile producers in an attempt to develop domestic industry.

Customs, Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) announced that these essential inputs will not have to bear any import duty and informed that this move was a part of several tax cuts by CEPS.

A new zero rate of import duty will now also be levied on off-highway dumpers with gross weight exceeding 20 tons.

Statement said statutory average penalty shall be eligible for used dumpers more than 12 years old.
