India's economic growth story has become an inspiration for many African countries,
Mekuria Haile, Head, Trade, Industry and Urban Development Bureau, Government of Ethiopia wanted India to share its expertise and technology, especially in small and medium scale ventures, food processing, IT, textiles, leather goods and education to help Ethiopia reform its economy.
Mekuria said Indian expertise would be needed to increase Ethiopia's 8 universities to 15 in near future.
Ethiopia plans to set up a textile park with help of India's expertise in hand-woven textiles.
India can also help through its expertise and cooperation to reduce transportation costs in order to increase profits.
Ministry had started its 'Focus Africa' programme to carry out projects and Joint ventures between two countries will be carried out, said PK Dash, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
