Anti-dumping duty on imports of nylon filament yarn (NFY) from China, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia has been imposed by Government of India based on the recommendation of designated authority.

This anti-dumping duty is equivalent to the difference between $3.82 and the landed value per ton.

Imposition of anti-dumping duty had been sought by Gujarat State Fertiliser Company Ltd of Vadodara, Shree Synthetics Ltd of Ujjain, Modipon Ltd of Modinagar and JCT Ltd of Hoshiarpur.

Above mentioned companies together account 94.83 percent of total NFY production.

They informed that imposition of anti-dumping duty is necessary as Indian industries' market share has declined from 80 to 60 percent and exporting countries' share increased from 12 to 30 percent.
