Vietnam's woes, particularly on issues related to employment caused by European Commission's imposition of anti-dumping lawsuit on Vietnamese footwear will be negotiated by European Paliament (EP), informed Hartmut Nassauer, Chairman of Civil Freedom, Legislation and Internal Affairs EP.
EP representatives held discussions on this important issue during a three day meeting with Vietnam's National Assembly that began on May 22.
EP would request EC to review the case on development level and avoid politicization of the on-going trade issue, according to Frithjor Schmidt, delegation member of EP.
However, Schmidt has sternly advised Vietnam to learn about international standards of accounting and auditing and adopt the same.
